It's my understanding this wonderful west-side view of the former Crook Horn swing bridge was taken just prior to the removal of the bridge (by an unknown photographer) and is part of the NJ Transit files.
I also learned that the previously reported date of the ring gear's breaking (reported as being in August of 1981) was incorrect and that the actual last run on the line happened in mid-October of that same year.
