The Ma&Pa Historical Society has a hike on the Ma&Pa railroad grade each Spring. Here are my pics of the most recent hike.
 
Maryland & Pennsylvania Cromwell Bridge, MD
 
The cement footings for the Ma&Pa water tank near Cromwell Bridge Rd.  
 
The Ma&Pa's Maryland division was abandoned in 1958

The stone abutments still stand from the Ma&Pa's Gunpowder steel deck truss bridge #122  
 
The Ma&Pa's Maryland division was abandoned in 1958

Next to the stone abutment is part of the original narrow gauge abutment!  
 
The Ma&Pa's Maryland division was abandoned in 1958

The Ma&Pa RR grade is very straight through here. The railroad was known for its curves and sharp grades.  
 
The Ma&Pa's Maryland division was abandoned in 1958

The grade to the right was a short spur to a quarry that the Ma&Pa served.  
 
The grade on the left was the mainline.
