One87th's thread on the vanishing structures along the Ironton got me thinking....Here's a location alot of people in the Lehigh Valley know... The Rte 145 Weis Market...But do they know what once stood there..A cement plant!!!

Her's an aerial view from the Penn Pilot.com website (If ya haven't been on it check it out!!!It's freakin awesome!!!!!). This view was taken on 2-16-38 .By this point the plant is already abandoned and most of the buildings are roof-less.It survived pretty much like this until the buildings were demolished for the Weis construction.. All except for one structure......

The concrete buildings walls now contain Planet Trogg Laser tag arena.. construction on the front hides the building's concrete walls.

The dark red buttressed wall is from the  cement plant building..This end had a peak on it just like the other end does..It was removed recently..This end is open and once had a mini-golf course inside of it..Kinda bizzare!!!!LOL!!!

Standing on what's left of the branch's r.o.w . you can view the deck of the bridge..The track ran through what is now Contractor's equipment. The Ironton Rail-trail is on the other side of the wooden fence.

Turning around our last shot looks towards the plant site..You can see the WEIS sign through the trees..This area is behind the Winding Brook ..This is one of those "there was a railroad here " locations....The r.o.w. here has been utterly destroyed!!!!
