Hey ROB,
What time did you see 868 pulling that cut of cars out from the harbor? I found a picture of 153 pulling a cut of cars and the string was long enough that he had to go past the crossing, so I now know it DOES happen. I might be heading up to Conneaut tomorrow and would like a general time.

According to the file, around 9 AM. The train that eventually took the cars south left Conneaut around 2 PM. The following week I set up around 1 PM and 868 never left the yard for the two hours I waited. Sometimes you get the bear, sometimes the bear gets you. Good hunting Bob.

It looks like a bessemer engine but it's really an SW1000 owned by the Armco steel plant.

Well, 866 and 867 traded places last week, on monday evening i think  (pics to come soon, stupid film photography, ).  So now we will get to see 867 in road service and 866 in AK steel service.    Oh and santa is now running trains!!  Keep your eyes peeled

Also Curtisville yard has recently (within the last month) been completely disconnected from the main line completely on both ends. Not sure of the reasoning behind this, as the mainline sections from where switches were removed have been "filled" with jointed rail, not welded.  Almost like they are planning to reinstall a siding or somthing.  Brock has some photos, if he would so kindly post them, lol.

go to the "Mainline" section of the website and under "railroad art" and/or "test forums" should be tips and advice.
U have to put html code into your profile signature, and the little pictures (gifs as they are called) must be hosted on a webpage.  Railfan.net has some program to help u assemble trains from each car and loco (each made of an individual gif).  To find the gifs, there are countless websites out there with gifs drawn by different people.  Specifically try Frograil.com for a HUGE selection.  Those other forums should help with the proper "tags" to put in ur signature and how to do it, much better than i can

BTW, 867 IS NOT in road service right now that I am aware of. It is at Conneaut replacing 862 that is in Greenville for inspection.

Sounds good to me, i tried a few years ago to get a Bessmer board in the shortlines/regionals category, but there was no interest.  We seem to have quite a few interested people now, so mabey we should try again?  I belive all we have to do is post a suggestion in forum suggestions board, and have enough people "second" the idea.  It would be a little more organized as we could then have indvidual topics instead of running all ble info in one giant topic.  Anyone else like the idea? Also, someone would have to become moderator of the board?

Ok, i made a forum suggestion for the creation of a Bessemer and Lake Erie Board.  Anyone interested needs to go to the the Mainline category, then to Forum Suggestions, then to Bessemer and Lake Erie Board and support its creation.  Also volunteers for moderators are needed i belive?
