....Dang, I never did realize what the railroad had. I think I need to start thinking about that photo freight again...

Other than the wagon top (not owned by the W&W), the ballast car and maybe the 80581 (the hay car) and the cut down old open air car, not much else has moved very far on the RR.

You'd be expecting them to COT&S (and possibly make costly repairs to) equipment they use primarily for parts storage, for one trip?...they most likely will not do it.  That tank car has not moved in years. It's main purpose was being the supply tank for the waste oil used by #37.

What you see moving on a regular basis is more than likely all you will get.

Ah yes, I'm aware of that. I meant the photo freight in general.

So long as I'm at it... does anyone have a photo of this B&O wagon top I keep hearing about? Or at the very least, the car's number so I can find one myself?

John,
Here are two from Tom Gear's website. They were taken in 12/96 by Tom. The wagon is behind the 98.

If memory serves me right those cars were under the ownership of Atlantic Central Steam, also owners of Royal Hudson 2839. Upon arriving on W&W property they were lettered same.

We had spoken of the tank car earlier in this thread. The tank car was used primarily for the storage of waste oil for #37. The auxillary tender was used for three purposes. It was primarily for the 3 and 37 to allow the, enough water to get to Hockessin. It was also used for 98 on off line excursions on the WN.
