I noticed that to. That is how it came directly out of the camera. I thought is was kind of neat so I left it alone. Forgot to mention it on the post.

Hey everyone. I visited the W&W today to see the Doodlebug run between Hockessin and Ashland, DE. It was something different, and I'm glad I went.

This first photo is at the S-curved trestle in Yorklyn.

Next was the overpass just outside of Hockessin.

Here she is pulling into town.

Back in Hockessin, the Trainman helps an older passenger off the 1929-built motorcar.

A profile shot of the Doodlebug.

From the back-side

Heading south again, the ex-Pennsy railcar meets this ex-Pennsy steamer at the former B&O depot in Hockessin.

This one was shot by this old factory in Yorklyn.

Last one, crossing over the S-curved trestle again.

That's all for the photos. The video should be up soon. Look for it in the videos thread.

Take care; and don't forget to visit the W&W this year! The '08 schedule is up.
- Adam

Great pictures . One note though the station in East Hockession is a former PRR station from Kennedyville in Kent County MD. The RR obtained it in the 60's and used it in Greenbank until the new Greenbank station was built.  The only original station left on the line is the Yorklyn Station that is now the visitors center at Greenbank.

Great pictures Adam.

Good to see you yesterday. Everyone be sure to come around for our 2008 season. We will be having lots of Hockessin Exps. this year (the entire length of the line) with steamers 58 and 98, diesels 114 and 8408, and the 4662. The schedule is posted at www.wwrr.com.

Hey Mark! Welcome to the forums! It was a pleasure to see you again as well.

Thanks everyone for the commpliments. They're doing a ton of trips to Hockessin in April with the Doodlebug, so be sure get out and see/ride this little thing.

Take care,

Probably the most under-appreciated piece of Railroad equipment out there, in terms of restored equipment, and that from the Pennsylvania RR.

It has operated routinely for well over a decade in it's current condition for their Ride N' Dine dinner trains, originally called the "Epicurean Express" as well as regular and charter service... unnoticed.

The 4662 has traveled Conrail's former PRR line donwstate to Harrington DE, the former PRR & RDG lines of the Octoraro Railway, CSX and even the Northeast Corridor all under its' own power.

When one considers the condition in which it was received you realize the 4662 is a well restored, maintained, & heavily operated car.

Kudos to the handfull of individuals who lead the inital restoration to service in 1980, and to the Revere Copper & Brass for their large donation that allowed further mehcanical, interior and exterior restoration work completed in the early 90's by the folks and the Delaware Car Company.

Good Photos and good video too!

That young person has more hours on 98 than most of the "Old persons".

On 3-15-08, W&W SW-1 #114 has the honors of giving alittle push for the long Easter Bunny train. It looks like #114 is ready to take on water.
