I find the shots from the rock cut to be quite nice!

I believe the road that runs at the top of the Wooddale Cut is Barley Mill Road...or at least it turns into it. You can easily access the road off of RT48, Lancaster Pike.  
 
It does make for an excellent Photo spot, and tends to draw rock climbing people wanting to scale down the cut walls too.

The shot is just off of Rolling Mill road, This is off of 48. I parked down at Fox Hill lane and walked up rolling Mill to get the shot.

Ok, I new it was something Mill road...it does eventually turn into or run into Barley Mill Road....it pretty much paralells the RR (on the opposite side of the creek) from Wooddale to the Barley Mill Road Grade Crossing.
 
I remember several years back when Fox 29 (Philly) did a story on the Christmas Trains ...we had to run the camera guy around to get shots of the train and we suggested that one....he loved the shot and it made it into the 5 minute segment, twice.
 
(it helped that Santa's son worked for Fox at the time)
