Getting a report that NS is running through the Jamestown area today.  Can anyone confirm.

That's my guess.  From what they said they were there and used the yard a few times over the past couple weeks.  Correct me if I'm wrong but NS hasn't run the line since the coal trains and/or Portageville Detours.  The closest they come is Meadville right?

They did a Hornell Meadville run through a few years back. WNYP crews on NS Power.
Was this to pull storage cars? About a year back the Meadville crew took in a big train of storage cars from NS and used the NS power.

FWIW, crude oil carloads are up as fuel prices keep inching up. So, if there are/were unit train length strings of cars in storage, it would make sense that now would be the time to fetch them.
Tangentially related note: WNYP is storing LNP/LPG (?) cars on the Columbus siding, which is far from full.
