I was going to grab a shot at the Martin Road crossing, but there was a fellow already set up there...........so I didn't want to get in his way. Instead, I headed to Jefferson Road and grabbed this shot approaching the road crossing.

That's an interesting angle at Jefferson Road, Charlie. I may have to try it one of these days. Nice pics!

Thanks Matt............I've gotta tell you though, it wasn't totally planned that way. I was waiting on the south sidewalk at the crossing for awhile, waiting for the train. My car was parked at MacGregor's, and I thought I had enough time to get in and park at Pickle Nick's.

WRONG!

I heard that "Alco rumbling" as I was not far from the car and I scampered back as close as I could get and zoomed in a bit..........and there's my shot! It's funny how those accidental shots turn out well sometimes!

Had a good time on Thursday & again on Friday chasing the LA&L with the kids in all the recent snowfall.

On the way to Avon on Thursday to clean out switches:

There was no road train on Thursday, so the train on Friday was the first one to run in the fresh snow:

Thanks for the posts Mike and thanks to Hannah for some excellent camera work.  That 428 blasting through the snow was outstanding!  I see that becoming a screensaver on my office computer,  the guys at the bus company get a kick out of the trains I put up on my computer.
