Wow......incredible photos and especially of the AAPRCO special. Do you know if this train supposed to return west via the same route?

All photos in this post were taken by me Friday 9/19/2014 in Hamburg, NY. This wraps up my most recent trip to greater Buffalo- I hope y'all enjoy looking at these pics. It was certainly fun to be out there again.

WHOA! What a time warp! The Dome Cars make the scene like BURLINGTON ZEPHYRS, all over again! It was a long time ago...

Local Boosterism Note? One can surely spot the very accurate looking holdovers from the B & O Days! Else, there are others in
there which not precisely accurate, IMHO...

Thanx, Charlie. The return leg of the AAPRCO special was split, with some cars going to Boston and the rest going west to CHicago via CSX.

Vern- it's true that some of the cars were modified. For example, Iowa Pacific is a newish operation (i.e. less than 30 years olds IIRC).  Their car was painted to reflect their colors, rather than the original owner.

Many Thanks! Right! Right! Hardly a surprise whereby all the Cars do not necessarily reflect precise appearance as of 1960s dates
(when many of the Streamliners still running).

In the superb variety, there are some missing names. That's more an unrealistic, "Gee, it would be nice..." world? No! We can't have
an (ex.) SEABOARD if there is nothing out there to get into service.

Agreed. I wish there had been an Erie, DL&W or LV car on the train, but they were elsewhere. Oh well, the AAPRCO special was a cool train anyway.
