Thanx, Charlie. I've wondered what that thing between GB Diamond and Lake Avenue really is. I'm guessing it's a detector of some sort, too. I'll have to see if I can find out what it is... and the steepness of the grade near Bayview Road.

BTW, I neglected to share my Amtrak shots at Buffalo Creek Junction, so here is the eastbound Lake Shore Limited around 9 AM or so.

Both photos in this post were taken by me Friday 9/21/2012 in Buffalo, NY.

Nice shots Matt. Hope you are going to do it again in a few weeks. this stinking economy is keeping me trapped in western pa. and i cant get to those parts as of late. I have pictures from the past of that Tift area, and its something how nature is creeping in. the tree huggers and commies probably love that.

Is it possible to get shots further down near CP DRAW, or is that too tough to get to?
I can make out the former NKP bridge in the distance of some of the pix.

I dont know if NS is sending the 765 to Buffalo or not. My guess is no, they must not have enough employee prescence there to justify it i guess.
