Hey all,
 
I stumbled across this video of a drive over the Malahat in 1966 and had to share...
 
At 3:19 you see the haul road and the CN bridge over the Trans Canada just south of Duncan.

Also a quick view of the Selkirk trestle and adjacent forest products mill at about 1:20 in this one...in 1930s...

At the 1:40 mark in the first video there is a speed limit sign reading 60 Miles per hour. far cry from the limit of 70 and 80 KPH we have now.

 Read that CN Tidewater Sub connecting Deerholme with Cow Bay (Tyup)
N.B. The RoW is still open to walk or cycle from Koksilah Rd up to Deerholme (then beyond).
