I have spent the last couple of hours revising my scenery gantries. Here are the new ones I have come up for the Victoria Sub north of Parksville. Starting to look a little more the way I had envisioned them.

WOW!  That's looking awesome.

Now, it's some three years later, and I'm trying to find the files for installing this route (or at the very least, the stuff north of Stockett) and not finding it on the train-sim.com site.  Any thoughts why this isn't showing up?

Thanks!
Jon

Is there a place on the net where one could try these simulators on line?

I had MC Train Sim at one time but gave it away to a buddy in Australia.

I was one of the lucky few who was invited to check out the HO scale layout of Bob Muir this afternoon. His layout is freelanced and revolves around the Island logging industry. He has 8 highly detailed Baldwin DRS4-4-1000's and a couple of DS4-4-1000's.

Does Bob Muir have a club or is it private only?

I would love to see his layout in person

I thought I would post an image of the trackplan I have made for my small HO 8x9 layout room which I plan on building. I will be starting work in the next couple of months as time permits. The layout is divided into four scenes and represents the trackage between MP 89.7 at Bryn to MP 95.2 at Parksville Junction. It is a small section of the E&N however it was the only one that I could bend and prototypically represent in such a small space courtesy of my wife who had some strict requirements for access to the room plus the closet which has led to the unique duck under design. The design was inspired by Mike Confalone’s amazingly detailed shelf layout which was in Model Railroad Planning 2007. I have included a link showing what his layout looked like. http://www.pbase.com/mikerose/mike_confalones_layout

Like his layout, mine will be set in December 1988 and will be a winter layout. I did most of my railfanning around Christmas as a youngster and you will find many of my past photos on this forum show this area during that period. I have acquired most of the code 70 trackage I require with the exception of some of the turnouts which are on back order. The layout was drawn using Atlas’s right track software and the scenery added in Paint Shop Pro. The mainline is made up of 22” to 26” curves with No.4 and No.6 Turnouts. There is a full loop of hidden staging below the layout with three sidings to allow various traffic during an operating session. Each of the staging tracks can hold 20 car trains which is longer than I plan on running. The five industries will allow for some interesting switching. I will post further updates as I commence building of the benchwork.

Hey Moka,

It's a  HO scale 16 by 9 shelf layout based on the Vic sub from Stokett down to victoria. It's fully operational, but only the Esquilmalt section has somewhat completed scenery, Langford is next....

It's my first layout, so work is proceding rather slow, plus the room it's in has a dual use as a practice space for my hardcore band, and yes, I'm not spared any ribbing from my band mates on how a "toy train" isn't punk...

Thats funny Because over the years my Layout has shared a room with my drumset! heavy metal has definatly influenced its construction

i have a alco s2 in cp rail multimark. its a proto 2000, not weathered and in perfect condition. I was wondering if any one has a BN locomotive they would trade for it? I really like it but it looks really out of place on my layout(which is BN, kettle falls Division) any geep would be cool. let me know? here is a picture of it hard at work. Increased traffic to the K.P.&C.D.J. pulp mill meant for a new yard. i didn't complain.

BN kettle falls div. eh? very interesting part of the world to model.  Lets see, I have a BN F9, GP-7, and an SD9 that I've had for years, that no longer have a use, maybe a possibility there?
