Great shots Jamie, please don't stop posting them!

Did CP generally leave all of the power idling between assignments at that time?

Did CP do anything for the mill other than dump the inbounds in the yard and pull the outbounds?

I know the mill had its own switcher, and the mill had quite a few tracks snaking about.

I'm far from an expert on this subject, but I think the mill switcher did most if not all of the actual switching at the pulp mill at this time.on Nov 7th, 2017, 2:40pm, MinionII wrote:       (Click here for original message)

As was the norm back then. When they didn't care about saving fuel. It was to save time and keep the engine warm and ready to go.

Thanks for sharing Jamie. I remember about that time there was a flat paved pad where me my dad and brothers would ride bikes. It was pretty much surrounded by piles of broken up concrete. This might have been very early 90s though...but could have been late 80s.

You don't happen to have any pictures of the goings-on behind the warehouses between Herward and Devonshire road in your collection by chance, do you?
