After the PO&N aquired the E&N from RailAmerica and CP, they were able to convince the Pulp Mill at Port Alberni to return to rail service. This pic shows PO&N GP38 298 on the first PO&N train, not to mention the first freight train out of Port Alberni in 3 years, seen here passing the east switch for the Rogers Creek Siding in Port Alberni. All three units are pulling their gutz out to get the 45 car train up the 1.5% grade out of Port Alberni. Once out of Port Alberni the train will tackle the 2.2% grade out of the Alberni Valley. Once out of the Alberni Valley and over "The Hump" at mile 21 it's mostly downhill to Parksville, south of Parksville the grade has more ups and downs than a roller-coaster, just like the real thing.

It's the E&N Railway.  I'm beta testing it for the developer. It'll be availalbe at train-sim.com when its finished.

In the mean time here's the real E&N Railway.

Victoria Northern Railway(a fictional RR of mine. Operates ex-E&N and CN trackage on Vancouver Island) on Chris Schwan's E&N route. Seen here leaving the Wellcox yard in Nanaimo bound for Port Alberni
