Colin, great photos. I'm glad you got to see '17 back under steam. She's a pretty site, ain't she?

Hey Jim,

Glad you liked the picture! The unit had the EL colors and scheme but it had "DL" lettered on the front and side.  Don't worry, if you are really serious about it, I'll just make a large print of the picture give it to you for nothing.  What do I care lol.  I sure wouldn't want to rob you.  I will send you an IM.

Thanks for the kind words,
Colin

I was at Steamtown on Friday. No Steam, ironically. I'll post a few shots.

The reason for 514 pulling the steam scheduled trains, was that 2317 was down for Superheater and tender work. She should be back out soon.

Most people were probably expecting 2317, but since they were there, they rode it anyways. I myself was hoping to get a cabride in 2317, but they don't give them in the diesel (why, I don't know).

Nice work as always, Adam. Can't get enough of 514's deep, echoing horn. One question: at the very beginning (like 15 seconds in) it shows a steamer's bell ringing. But the domes visible look very rusted and worn, leading me to believe that it is one of the mothballed steamers. Last I checked, no one's allowed in the cabs of mothballed steamers to ring the bell (oh how I wish otherwise ).What's going on here?

Darn and I worked so hard all day not to make that stupid mistake. I even asked the man who was puting water in her tender and he said he never heard of anyone calling her that. (giggle)
