Here's something interesting. A few monthes ago, I went on a trip with my troop to see some US Navy Ships. We got to tour the submarine, U.S.S Scranton. Sure enough, the whole place had photos all from Steamtown (maybe some from this website!) Here's is there symbol

You people who live near Steamtown are lucky. I live in Central NY, and It takes my dad 2 hours to get there. I am 2 hours away from seeing an operating steamer

R U talking to me I live two hours away too, I was in the poconos on a weeks vacation and steamtown was one of the good parts, anyway here is a picture my brother took of the CN tank engine

I live only 20 - 25 minutes away from Steamtown (in Ashley, near Wilkes-Barre), and I have yet to visit the site.

The #790 was actually built for the Chicago Union Transfer Railroad. It was #100. In about 1920, the I.C baught it and re-numbered it to #642 (or something like that ) and updated it a little. Then in the 1940s, #642 was re-numbered as #790. It came out of service in the mid-50's, but came back to service in the 60's to help diesels pull trains across floodwaters.  Interesting history.  Please correct any mistakes in this paragraph.
