Me in front of the Big Boy. Man, is she big!

I thought it was a he. I mean, why call it a she if it's a Big Boy?

Yo Adam 17,

All steamers are referred to as She. Because if you don't give them tender loving care, TLC, you will wish you had. A steam locomotive well taken care of will take good care of you, otherwise, better switch to diesels.

2317.

I like the angle you got on this one . Kinda makes up for the fuzziness. But oh boy, do I know that spot. You, my friend, have photographed the spot on which 2317 derailed her yard shuttle on which your's truly was riding on.

As for the he/she debate, the Big BOY is a he. And so is Thomas, of course . Other than that, I do not know of any other steamers that should be referred to as he.

Well today was a rather interesting day, yet pretty disappointing. 3254 did pull the train...somewhat. 514 was in the lead in front of 3254, which looked rather strange. I was pretty upset, and very worked up about the equipment change, but I made the best of it and took a stroll in Steamtown itself when the train left.

Probobly the only fun part of the ride...

A mile earlier, 514 was snapped off the train and made it look like 3254 pulled the whole train.

Nice pics, though, Colin ! It looks like the weather really cooperated today. The sunlight is really captured in your pics! You don't happen to have more, do you?
