This past Saturday (October 22, 2016) UP 844 came into Memphis, was on display for a while and then left.  The timing was set to match with the opening of a walkway along one of the no longer used roadways on the Harahan Bridge across the Mississippi River.  Thanks to the lack of a wye considered safe for the 844 to use in the Memphis area the engine left crossing the bridge backward.

More info to follow.

Wyes, and for that matter switches, in modern yards are a problem for 844 (and, perhaps even more, the tender). When it came through East Tejas from Shreveport to Houston last year, it was significantly delayed because the tender derailed on a yard switch in Shreveport.
