Nebie trying to figure something out

Hi Everyone, I am a newbie here.  I saw something in Tulsa today that I am not sure what I saw.   It was being pushed and at the beginning was a frame car with a pod for a conductor(?), that was ringing an unique bell as it hit the crossing.   Following this was a very long line of identical cars that seemed to be carrying several continious stacked rails that seemed to be the length of the entire train.   I wasn't at the crossing, but the odd noise got me looking out a 2nd floor window.    Best we could figure was it was one long rail, but how would it make turns?

Thanks for any insight

Sounds like what you saw was a welded rail train.  Google welded rail train, welded rail, and chase down some of the links and see if that is what you saw.
