Post pics of abandoned or forgotten rail cars here.

To start, an old flat car that has sat next to an abandoned rail line for 100 years. Seen in southern Alberta Canada, the last train passed here in 1913.

This is just off the Allegheny River Rail-Trail, is this some type of old rail car?

Awesome find! Any reason why it's there?

Some baggage cars, a couple boxcars and a caboose. Seen in Southern Alberta (Canada) along a CPR line.

Great pictures! Down in Eufaula Alabama we have an old boxcar off its trucks hidden in the middle of the downtown wye track, seems to have been in a good location for a section gang tool shed at one point back in the southern rr days, might be able to get a pic of it sometime...

Here it is, finally! In the middle of the wye track in Eufaula, AL. This used to be where the Central of Georgia mainline from Montgomery to Macon tied into a branchline to White Oak, AL where a large lumber mill used to operate. The line west of Eufaula to Montgomery is long since gone, rails pulled up with some of it rails to trails, and the line to White Oak is out of service west of Pump Station Rd. in Eufaula. The wye is also out of service, although the track still exists, it is heavily overgrown and the US Hwy 82 crossing on the north end of the wye is paved over the rails.

Side shot, must have been a MOW boxcar at some point, with a door cut into the end of the car.
