Not exactly dead, as you can see from some recent posts.  But not really lively either, mainly because there is little to no action happening right now on the restoration of the lines.
 
With the rather slow pace of things, I'm guessing it's going to be the spring or summer of '09 until the SIRR portion is officially running with the new crossing gates/lights.  Then sometime in the fall of '09 we may actually see work on the Rahway Valley portion, if funding has been located.
 
I hope I'm wrong about this prediction, but the process really is dragging.

I sometimes think that myself.  
I've posted to the whisper of crickets in the distance.
I know our moderator has taken some photos and will add them at a later date.
