Hi all,

I'm the one making the Rahway Valley Railroad website

I've posted some of what Corinne had sent me onto the website already. She and I have been working closely in the past couple websites to make this website the best it can be.

Check out the Story of the Kenilworth Station fire: http://www.trainweb.org/rahwayvalley/Kenilworth_Station_Fire.htm

Check out the Story of the Grade up to Summit: http://www.trainweb.org/rahwayvalley/The_Grade_.htm

If you have anything you'd like to contribute (i.e. Photos, Memories, etc.) please DO NOT hesitate to contact me at CatskillCrazy13@aim.com

All the best,
Richie King

Can you remember anything from those times, eg what kind of cars were in the yard, names of the employees?

I can't remember any names, but the type of cars in the yard can be seen in the posts in "RV in Kenilworth" thread. The RV received a wide variety for such a small RR. I really liked their bright red box cars.

The Rahway Valley website looks great!

I grew up living in Irvington, NJ.
The RVRR was close enough, plus I could chase the trains on my bicycle.
I was close enough to Wooley Fuel in Maplewood, to Hear the horns blow.
Plus fast enough to be able to catch them and follow through Maplewood & Union.
It also helped that Mom worked along the line, off Liberty Ave, Union.
