I was told that it was and I think there was a reference to it in the Rahway Valley book.   George Picyk

On http://www.yesteryeardepot.com/rahwayv.htm it says that it was purchased in 1934, probably from the Lackawanna. It also says that in 1941 it had four locomotives, was this fourth locomotive #12?

I know there hasn't been any recent activity on this post but just in case it becomes active again, yes it was a DL&W caboose from their series 600-849.  According to the Phillipsburg Railroad Historians website, the nearest example of this model is #604 at the NJ Museum of Transportation in Farmingdale, NJ.
