This card is in the collection of the Keokuk Public Library, kindly scanned for me by library personnel. The depot, which still stands in sad condition, once served the Burlington Route, Rock Island and Wabash and probably the TP&W when they ran passenger trains to Keokuk. The card was published by a local Keokuk printer; it is undated but probably came from the early 1900s.

That's a nice postcard of a very handsome station. http://www.trainweb.org/kjry/kjryphoto.html says that former owner Keokuk Junction Rwy did a lot of work on the interior of the building in the early 1990s.

This is the photo at http://www.trainweb.org/kjry/images/KJRY028.JPG with that info:

"The "Chief Keokuck" catches the late-afternoon sun on the stub track next to the Keokuk Union Depot.
The KJ purchased all the shares of the Keokuk Union Depot Company in the early 90's and carried out
an extensive amount of restoration on the interior of the building."

I don't know the current disposition of the building, but I believe Pioneer Railcorp still owns it after inheriting it with its 1996 purchase of the KJRY. I sure hope it is successfully preserved.

This is a photo of the depot I took in 2006, and it hasn't changed since then.

Ownership of the Keokuk Union Depot has been transferred from Pioneer Railcorp to the City of Keokuk, and a project has been started to restore it. News and photos about the project are here:

Does anyone know how many different postcards the B&O produced for the pagent? I came across 5 of them out of the blue. Here is the "York" card.
