Mr Cartman, those UP units are looking grand...too clean as if they just came from the washrack. But I love the big wing on the nose, one of my favorites of UP.

And Jim, sure must be lucky to have steam power to shoot.

This is my favorite photo out of the over 120 photos I took on a railfan vacation in July. It's of two N trains at their terminal in Astoria, Queens, New York just before the start of rush hour. I was lucky in that I caught a railfan-friendly R40 train on the left, which is not normally used on that route so early in the morning

Well out of all my shots it is really hard to pick just one. I have two very special pictures. Here they are...

Photographs:

1.) R&N JTPE-06 crosses the Ex-CNJ Bridges at Coalport, PA just outside of Jim Thorpe, PA on December 6, 2003.

2.) R&N PIKV-25 prepares to depart the R&N's Pittston, PA Yard with 8 loads of Silica Sand for the Techneglas Plant just to the East. Photo taken on January 25, 2004.

Heres my first look ever at any Pennsylvania railroad equipment.  This was the units owned by Bennet Levin from Philadelphia on the NS Pittsburgh Line in late July 2004.
