Walked the PRR row from Wadsworth Jct. south back around 1969. Yes, there are bridge abutments for the East Peanut bridge over the PRR. Am sure they remain to this day.

A small piece of trackage remains to serve 84 Lumber, south of the airport.  In the 1970s, Scottsville Rd crossed the branch via highway bridge.  As I drove to and from RIT, I recall seeing the battered remains of a Pennsy position-light signal.  The Genesee Greenway trail has a short gap from there to Ballantyne Rd, no doubt to keep folks away from railroad activity at Genesee Junction (CSX, RSR, and LA&L).

Next community heading south is Scottsville, where a trestle stands at Oatka Creek.

I remember the highway bridge over the pennsy on scottsville road, and the position light signal, wish there were pictures of that!!

I've been hiking The Greenway for the past year.

PRR Belfast, NY

The Rail & Titsworth canal warehouse still standing in 2014. It stood next to the PRR Rochester branch the whole time the railroad was operating through Belfast.

The PRR was behind the building in the photo. It is now the Greenway rail trail.

Behind the photographer were the Buffalo & Susquehanna RR and the Erie RR Cutoff line

Left over stones from the former Genesee Valley Canal or from the former PRR bridge at Portageville? Or a lost load from a derailment?

PRR Rochester Branch: Rockville Lake, NY

Remains of Lock 97 on the old Genesee Valley Canal. Abandoned in 1878.

When the PRR built the Rochester Branch, they used part of the lock for a culvert.

A former PRR milepost 26 near Piffard.

The tracks were abandoned through here in 1963.

I don't think this is an original. I think it is a replica.

PRR Rochester Branch: Houghton, NY

The railroad grade ends at this washed out pipe along Rt 19 south of Houghton

The Greenway bypasses this by detouring onto the shoulder of Rt 19 which is nearby

Photographed by Chris Bigham, October 11, 2014.

PS: I think this culvert might have been fixed. I'll try to check it out this week!
