Even though my 4x8 HO layout was dismantled before I got much done with it, I hope to paint a locomotive or two into a dark blue scheme with this logo.  I still haven't settled on this for sure but I think its a good basic logo and name.

My private railroad, the HR&W, has never had an official logo. The closest I've had are some paper cutout variations of railroad logos.

PSU, I hope you doin't mind, but I converted your .bmp file to a GIF as it is a much more efficient format for image storage. That's also why it now shows in the thread instead oif just being a link.

This is the Attica Falls's logo, however the diamond should be evenly shaped, like that of the Reading.

Ive been trying to come up with a decent logo for my railroad since I conceived it back in 1974. Cuyahoga & Lake Erie "The Cuyahoga Valley Line" (Yes i thought of that before they started running 4070 thru the valley here" It's roots and heritage goes back to NYC with a pinch of B&O.
(funny thing is I also like DT&I and B&LE). It also connects to it's sister road in southern Ohio, the MB&P (Marietta, Belpre & Parkersburg) Basically the B&O route along the Ohio River thru the namesake cities. ANY IDEAS?

This is the almost completed herald for the C&R's subsidiary that runs from Albany to the Canadian border. The C&R and St.L&A meet at a large facility in Albany.

Just an interesting tidbit of a semantical nature......Once, after having given a presentation to an NRHS group and having commented upon a particular railroads "logo", I was told once and for all (and in no uncertain terms) by the great, late Jim Boyd (Author, and Editor of Railroad and Railfan Magazine) that, and I quote, "Dammit, companies have logos, railroads have HERALDS!", followed by a few choice swears and mutterings........He meant it only as a matter of fact (I knew Jim personally, so I wasn't offended), but he is (was) right! Just thought I'd pass that on............
