What's My Name safety notice

The management of the New York Central took safety very seriously.  Not only could a worker loose lost working days but even their life.  In one instance a worker who like to joke around in the engine room slipped and went down into the journals of working steam engine.  I was a gruesome death which prompted those who witnessed it to never allow anyone to fool around the running machinery.  The notice is as on target now as it was back then in 1954.

There is only one place I have seen safety come in 2nd place. Inside the front cover of the Claiborne-Polk Military Railroad timetable was this quote:
SUBJECT TO THE MILITARY SITUATION, SAFETY IS OF FIRST IMPORTANCE IN THE DISCHARGE OF DUTY
Agree or not, I think they have a point.
