TAB - Indeed it is, we are looking northbound on Route 17 in Rutherford on the old Erie Mainline in 1978. Trains still roll past here today, just decidedly more modern looking, under NJT ownership.

For those of you not familiar, these train sets were delivered to the EL under the auspices of the NJ DOT between 1970 and 1973 to aid the EL's aging fleet of E8's, RS-3's and GP-7's, along with a fleet of Pullman Standard "Comet" push-pull coaches to replace the aging Stillwell (among others) car fleet.

Let's try to guess the NJT GTL!

At first glance, it looks like an EL GTL, but the date (197 and lack of markings make this technically a CONRAIL GTL (NJT wasn't created until 1982, IIRC), but for lack of hair splitting, it's a NJT/NJDOT GTL......

Trains still cross this spot today on their way to Bergen County (and beyond), just as PA's and Berks once did as well.

Right you are Tom!

This drawbridge, located on NJT's NJ Coast Line spans Crossway/Cheesquake Creek in the Morgan section of Sayreville, NJ and is right next to a marina. Superstorm Sandy decided that good old PRR/CNJ engineering would make for a great levee to pile things up on. Parallel Rt. 35 makes for a great vantage point of this bridge.

I'm PRETTY sure that boats don't belong on the railroad tracks, unless you are running a Lionel car.

GTL............

You do, you do see it!

The "pieces" of the Fanwood station date from three years - the main station building (1874), the shelter (1897) and the overpass (1946).

Did you also know that there were seven other CNJ stations built in this style? Two of them are still around to see.

It's been a while, so let me throw a couple out and see if anybody catches this softball........This station stop was made into a laser cut wood model a couple of years back.

Yessir, the popular game has finally arrived in the NJT forum after hefty service delays!

Let's bust a deal and face the wheel (what, no Mad Max fans here?!?), and see if you can G! T! L!
