Bruce,

You are welcome, and are right about that!

I don't know how I forgot this considering I did run the engine, there was actually 5 ground line steam engines.  The one I forgot was a Allen Mogul turned into a 0-6-0.  I did not get a picture of it.

On New Years Day three of us brought steam engines to NEOLS to run on the highline.  The water is shut off so we had to bring our own water.  Brian K brought his 3/4 inch Virginia, John K brought his 1 inch Little Engines 0-4-0, and I brought my 3/4 inch Mogul.  All three of us had a great time running.  We only got a little over an hour of running till it started to rain hard.  There was also one diesel on the ground line which I did not get a pic of, and maybe 10-15 of us at the track.

Here is a pic of my Mogul, now converted to alcohol firing.  I really did have my first good run with the engine.  I had it steamed up for about and hour and a half.  It ran with no problems, and it really was great to have a good run with it.

Here is John K and his 0-4-0.  This was the first time the engine  had run in a couple years.  It ran just great!

Here is the last pic.  It is my engine blowing down in the rain.  I think this is a neat picture with the rain and steam.

Here are some pics of my friend Brian's Erie Pacific and his 5 passenger cars.  This was the first time that he has run all 5 together.  These are the first pictures I have taken since New Years at the track, and I also took a couple of videos with my new camcorder.  I am should have them uploaded tomorrow.

The first picture is Brian's Pacific on the steaming bay which I was steaming up while Brian finished running the air brake lines in the baggage car.

The whole train together.  We ran the Pacific for almost 7 hours and it ran great as it always does.  I will post the video links as soon as they are uploaded to youtube.

Hi Bobby,

I have been pretty busy lately, I have been to NEOLS a lot this year and I made a trip to the Pioneer Valley Live Steamers in Mass.  I just have not been taking any pictures.  Brian's Erie Pacific is a sweet engine, it runs like a swiss watch, and it is the loudest live steam engine I have ever heard.  When it is working hard up a grade you can not hear anything else other then the engine.

This past weekend was the 2nd open meet at NEOLS.  There were five of us on the highline with steam engines and two on the groundline.  The weather was not the greates, it rained both days in the morning so I am sure that kept some people away.  The first picture is my engine on the highline ready to go.

Brian

Don and his 3/4 inch Evening Star.  This engine was built by his grandfather.  He built four 3/4 inch engines and Don has 3 of them.  The other one is owned by another club member.  This engine runs great.  It has a new propane burner in it, and it makes steam like crazy.

Another pic of the Evening star.  This engine really runs great.  In my opinion it is the perfect 3/4 inch engine.  It can easily pull three people and can be picked up by on person.
