The blurry side.  Sorry.  Now as an aside,  this is for the front box.  the rear one will have different linkage.

Interresting project, Tom. I'm watching it closely. Why don't you post a couple of pics of 25? Not everyone here is familiar with the whole SR&CL roster.

Thank you Greg for the Idea.  We push a lot with it in reverse for some reason not know to me.  That is why we started on the back box first and it is eaiser to build might be another reason.  The hole is for access to clean out and hook up the linkage.  It will have the # plate over it when done.  Here is #25 with the plow.

Tom,
That's one of the nicer pics I've seen of 25. How about some basic specs on her? Inquiring minds want to know....

Hope to see you soon.

Pockets,

Not sure what length she is but the cab is 24 inches wide.  Hood narrower by a couple of inches.  Here is a pic of the sand box welded together.  Need to make a lid and add the linkage.  Hope to mount this weekend.

I added tabs to mount it.  I am learning Mig welding.  I find it hard to see where the weld is headed with the torch in my way.  I HATE BI-FOCALS!!

Well we were back at it on Sunday and finished up the box for a test fit.  Paint will come this spring.  Jack is hoping for snow so he can try it out.  Here it is on the engine, top view.  The access hole now uses the old # plate for a cover.  The lid has a hinge so we won't lose it.

Here is the end of the delivery tube.  I learned that if you put a cover over the opening it helps to keep the snow out.

That's looking real good, Tom. The sand, on the rails should really help.

We spent part of Saturday cutting a hole in the hood of #25 and when we dropped the box in, It hit the bell motor and wouldn't lay flush.   OOPS!   We cut out some metal and put a dimple in it to make it fit in.  Some pics.

In the previous picture, the long arm isn't missing.  Somehow along the way, we got the wrong length on the actuator travel and found we didn't need the long travel that the original arm gave.  We shortened it up alot.

Here it is in the nose of the unit.  We need to cut holes in the frame and make the ends and then it will be ready to test.  A job for the next trip over.

That looks nice. What a professional looking installation. Ya gonna put the grab irons back on? I liked them and I imagine they made it easier to ride the point.

I'm sure Mel can tell stories about frozen and plugged sanders Carry a big hammer and some fusees.

Yes, the grabs will go back on.  We have no footboards on the front, so they are for looks only.  We can ride the rear.  Yes Mel can tell stories about sanders and toilets!  Don't get him started or no work will get done for hours.
