A bunch of those ex. SOO will be floating around NS since NS signed a leasing program with CEFX. As well as some Tunnel Motors from PRLX but that's another company. Anyway, NS is gonna look like CSX from a few years ago with all this leased power...

Well, it's better than looking at the gross overabundance of dash-9's, and makes for some interesting consists, so more power to them (no pun intended).

Amen,

Around here out east you get a diet of NS-9s and a bunch of Evos in Dark Future. A lil color is always welcome!

A matched pair of CEFX units leads NS/CP 38T eastbound CP Cass late last month.

For a long time the New York, Susquehanna, and Western has been relying on CEFX leasers for their motive power needs. It had actually gotten to the point where they had more leasers than working NYS&W locomotives. Now that they have four newly acquired rebuilt SD60s, these four leasers have been sitting idle in the Liberty St. yard at Binghamton, NY. With two more SD60s on the way they will probably be gone before long. I figured that I had better shoot them while I could.

I spotted two more CEFX leasers in Binghamton today for a total of six. These are the 3147 and the 3108. It looks like they are getting ready to leave.

Nice catch on the SD45 carbody units. Even though most of them are rebuilt to SD40-2 specs internally, they're still good looking.

Here are a couple of photos of a former UP SD-60, CRIX #2128. This unit was working for either NS or KCS while helping power an eastbound, near Mexico, MO sometime in September 2007.

How many other units are/were lettered CRIX?

And another of the same unit, this time more of a straight-on or "broadside" view. Same location, just west of Mexico, MO sometime in September 2007.
