More! This is now in the area of the Hunlocks PO and the UGI Power Plant. The station was purchased I think in the late 70's early 80's and turned 90 Deg with a foundation. It now faces down river.

Most the rail is gone on the way down but the ROW and the canal is most intact. In between Hunlocks and Shickshinny is the Retreat facility for the insane on the other side of the river along the PRR . Before the river crossing bridge was put in the steel work from the bridge came from the original Carey Ave Bridge. I don't know of a station or stop at this area. Before the bridge it was by horseback over the Mtn from Glen Lyon or later a ferryboat. So on to Shickshinny.

Down the road from here the track Starts over for the Terrible Towers (PP&L Nuke Plant) as Bill Branches states at the start of this post. The Wye gets the rail up there.

For those who want to know a little more canal that the Bloom killed. The Bloom is to the right about 60 yards.

Terriffic series.  When was the Bloomsburg Div. put out to pasture?  Was it durinng the EL years or was it abandoned by Conrail in favor of the Pennsy/PC line across the river?  This is good stuff.

Now in Berwick. We have a yard along the river. In the very early stages of this post Bill Branches speaks of the ACF area and yard the next few pics are this area. All shots by Xplorer Jr.

I am skipping from Berwick to Rupert leaving out Bloomsburg for the moment. I have compiled this picture documentation over the last year or so. Myself and the Jr Xplorers (my son and his cousin) on route to Knobles Park took the long way and did some PRR and Bloom picture taking. Its a great way to spend a day with the kids.
Anywho! These are shots over Fishing Creek behind the Bloomsburg Fair gounds.

Last!
The canal is still in the area and a cool covered bridge. On the Catawissa side a guy has a station converted to a eatery and cabooses for motel rooms. I think if you google Caboose nut you will find him. He even has his own steam engine and I think a bought a River Bridge so they would not tear it down.

Siding from the Bloom in Forty Fort. Behind this building is a branch heading NW over the LV  to mine area served. The LV went the same way on the other side of this building to meet the Bowmans Branch.
