Here's a test to start off 2017.
I will give you a hint, that is me standing next to SW-7 221 in March of 1975. Back when I was a LOT thinner and had a lot more hair.
Now...where was this taken?

Well, in the foreground are two tracks with switches in them plus another in the very corner of the shot making for four tracks so it's not along the mainline so I'm torn between Newark or maybe Jersey City.

The white building looks familiar so Ill go with Newark.

Why do we drive on parkways and park in driveways?

Actually it IS along the mainline! And as you are the closest I declare you the winner. My train is on the Newark Branch that goes between the PRR's Hunter Street tower and NK Interlocking. The tracks in the foreground are the LV main just east of the west bound home signals for NK. In days of yore, there would have been catenary overhead for the change of power for LV passenger trains headed to NYC. The train was the Hillside Drill if I remember correctly.
We would have just worked in the Poinier Street yard.

Keith...you passed that spot many, many times!
On the track between NK and Hunter at the west bound home board for NK.

The concrete structure is Route 78 where is crosses above Meeker Ave. at NK Interlocking.
