I'm fairly sure I know this one, I will hold off answering to give others a chance. Neat shot!

It can't be where I think it is for obvious reasons, so I'm gonna go where I think it HAS to be (and without my resources in front of me I can't pinpoint it), but somewhere in the Wyoming Valley area.

While the focus may be the bridge, it is not used by the Lehigh Valley, at this time.

Well, with that clue, it's gotta be what I think Charlie probably thinks it is, and what I thought so originally, too, but couldn't possibly be, because it wasn't an LV-owned/operated bridge, but later became one by default.........

Keeping it PA-centric, now where are we?

Charlie the tower was located farther east. This is the west leg of the wye. The tower was at the east leg of wye which has been torn out for years.

Another dumb Keith Bednar non move.  When I worked the Jeddo mine run we got into the old roundhouse at Ashmore. That is when the Berylum (spelling?) plant took over the operation. Well the entire place was a "time machine". Just like it was when the LV moved out. The tower was also standing at that time. Well I never took one photo !!  What a Jerk !! Another bad move on that job was not taking photos when we shifted the Weatherly foundry. Like I said, "what a jerk".   Keith

Easy Friend,

Back in the day, we always thought it will be there, so why take pistures.  So many guys our age have the same regrets.  It is what it is.

I remember the coaling tower, too, but I think the roundhouse was locked-up or fenced-off by the early 70s.   I'm kicking myself for not going up in the tower.  As I recall, it had a metal circular stair at one end.

Jeddo Highland #2, #5, and the Shops were the same way.  All of the equipment in the shops were belt driven off a line along the ceiling.  It was like walking back 50 years.  Wierd think, there were still jobs on the work benches, like the guys left and never came back.

At lease we saw it and can share what shreads we have left.
