This Forum has been much too quiet this year, hopefully this will help kick-start it. Where is this scene on the old LVRR?

Great idea, thank you for remembering to start a new thread for 2015, Kendaia1!

As for a location, I haven't got a clue, though!

However, after looking at the notes written on the print, it's somewhere in NYS....I'm gonna go with Geneva?

Cayuga, NY is correct, sir. This photo shows the junction of the LV with the NYC Auburn Road. The LV had trackage rights to cross the Cayuga Lake Causeway, then switched back to the LV Seneca Falls branch at Lehigh Valley Jct., on the west side of the lake. I believe technically, by timetable, these tracks (LV) were the Seneca Falls Branch all the way from Geneva Junction to Cayuga Junction, joining the Auburn and Ithaca Branch there.

This scene shows the unfortunate day after a fire consumed the LV freight house and bunk house here.

It is juicy - Peach Juice. This is the end of a NJ branch whose station still stands and has a picture in this forum. Amazing how busy it was before the blight.

Not Manchester, NY.

This was a facility that was abandoned on 01 April 1976.

Those windows are the clue, where do they match? How about Owego?

Neither Owego nor Geneva, but the former is closer to the location in the photograph.

The machine in the center of the photograph is a major clue.
