Berkshire NY still there, but the vinyl siding takes away from its original look.

Great Photos!

I have a few current and historical photographs of stations and bridges etc. posted in my Lehigh Valley Cortland Branch group on Flickr if anyone is interested.  Feel free to join the group or add anything you may have related to this branch of the Lehigh-81

I did click on your link and look at photos posted there. I really like the old photo of Cazenovia NY. To bad it is out of focus. It appears to be from around 1880, give or take a year or two. It would be great to get a clear view of that locomotive.

A few more from a recent road trip to upstate NY.

Truxton NY. All I can say is wow. Very nicely restored as the town clerck office. Interesting to see computers in a 19th century depot that came very close to being demolished.

The NY&OM (O&W later) had trackage rights on this section of the LV as part of its Aburn branch before it was ripped up in the 1880's.

Cazenovia NY with an LV caboose. - very nice.  The freight station is part of a lumber yard and the LV row is a hiking trail.

Cortland NY - not so nice, but someone is fixing it up as a resturant. The NYO&M also had trackage rights on this segment for its Auburn branch back in the 19th century.

You got it right Charlie. Not sure what the plans are but I was told the owner just wanted to stop the deterioration. Any help with these old buildings  is good in my mind.   Keith
