With the station slightly behind to the left and on the ROW, facing railroad north.

On the ROW as seen in the previous photo, a flanger switch/culvert post.  This is the only one I saw that day while tracing the line north from Ricketts.

The "official" designation of that item is "Flanger Pathway Obstruction" sign.

North of the previous photo facing railroad north.  Per Keith, a Flanger Pathway Obstruction sign.

Moving railroad south, Charles Street in Mildred, PA facing railroad south.  (I know we're getting in Bowman's Creek Branch territory here, but I am mixing the two to back into Lopez, PA for the purpose of coinciding with the photos in this thread.)

Mildred, PA facing railroad north.  For this and the previous photo, refer to Google Maps to see the sweeping curve.  What's interesting is that in the previous photo, the pine trees likely were saplings when the last train passed through town.

With an eye towards the map on the previous page showing the wye in Bernice, facing the base leg of the wye (now known as Railroad Street).

My memory is a little foggy here.  I seem to recall standing on Railroad Street, facing the left leg of the wye (southwest to northeast if facing railroad north).  The houses seem to jive with the overhead of Google Maps.

And finally, by deduction (which I hope is correct), where the left leg of the wye met the main.  I would be on the main facing southwest.

Going a little further south, in the town of Lopez, PA showing the remaining abutment that allowed the LVRR to span Lopez Creek.  To the left is railroad south.

Once again going a little further south, in the town of Lopez, PA paralleling Turrel Town Toad/SR1003 (left is railroad north towards Lopez Creek/SR487).

I apologize for the scattered nature of the photos.  On the day I took these I actually spent the majority of my time exploring the former towns of Mountain Springs and Ricketts.  The trip north on 487 was an afterthought, and the photos reflect this.  Sometime in the near future I will do the trip again, except I will give it the same thoroughness as I did the old towns on the North Mountains.

I have been told that this next photo was the work train that was in Lopez when the line from Noxen to Lopez was removed in 1940.
