I've eaten there before- the food is quite good. This will be an excellent place to meet.

Matt,
Add another to the head count. Was scheduled to work my day off but my supervisor saw how much I wanted to do this get together so she gave me the time off! YEAH! However that can be rescinded if someone calls in sick.
Will post here around 7:15 AM or as soon as I get the dreaded text Saturday if that's the case.

Spoke tonight with Steve Peck, and told him I really didn't think we would get down to T-Burg much before 1-2 PM, after seeing the Geneva Station and tramping around Geneva Jct. , and he was fine with that. We will contact him Saturday when we are on our way there. We will go first to his place to see the Trumansburg Layout, then he will give us a tour of the actual site. It is going to be a Good Day!

I havent heard back from FGLK! odd..
(there was some discussion in this thread recently about new management, that could have something to do with it..the guy im trying to reach might not be there anymore! )

but still, probably wont be an issue..we will just stop in at the office and ask, same as usual..

(Just FYI for the group (and anyone listening in) I will be leaving early (after Geneva) to go and help staff the annual Spring Garden Railroad display my G-gauge club will be running at Bristols Garden Center in Victor..if you are heading back to Rochester that way before 4pm, stop in!) (The G-gauge display will also be running on Sunday)

See you at the restaurant in the morning!

Checked in with the Geneva Station owner today just to confirm our appointment, and all is good. Please remember to pull up the driveway right onto the station platform and park up on the old r.o.w.

Scott, did not see you at Bristols, stopped by hoping to see your LV unit run. Have never seen that picture of Geneva Station before. May i borrow it for my Then and now album? I will give you credit of course! Great seeing you today!

This was my first time attending, and it was terrific! Met some great people, got to explore some areas of the LV I had never seen before...I even got slightly sunburned! (Yes, March is barely over with and it's already time for me to wear sunscreen - love my fair skin.) Thanks to all who worked on setting this up, and I am looking forward to next year!

You're welcome, Charlie.

I am looking forward to the pictures from Trumansburg. I had to leave early for personal reasons. (For those curious about the latter- it turned out MUCH better than I expected, so I'm OK.)

Here goes my first attempt at posting a photo...

Mid-afternoon brought us to Trumansburg and a visit to Steve Peck. Steve has built an HO scale diorama of the LV and surrounding area in Trumansburg, and it has to be seen to be believed...it is incredible! My slightly dark and not-to-sharp photo of Steve's model of the Trumansburg depot does not do it justice.

I'll second that, Aric.
Thanks to Bob for guiding us along the ROW from Geneva to Taughannock Falls.
Here's a photo from just south of Geneva Junction.

I took a few shots. However my camera is a cheapo so you get what you pay for. Many thanks to Steve for the tour. Also to Bob for doing all the leg work. Danny and I had a long but real good day.  Keith Bednar
