Looks like it's going to be too cold to have LV 211 up and running by next weekend.  You'll still be able to crawl all over her, though.

Looking forward to your visit!

8 or 9 is fine with me, I say 8:00 so we are not rushed, I have things to do later in the day, so have to be finished or head for home by 2:00 at the latest. Caboose in confirmed, just waiting to hear from Bernie about where to park. See you there!

261 west main street, Victor, NY,14564. There is an Ice cream place, also called papa jacks right next to it. The Lehigh Valley mainline(Now Fingerlakes railway) runs right behind it.

Keith, I really look forward to meeting you.

For all who are coming, here are a couple things to keep in mind:

1. Route 251 is closed in the Town of Victor (for a bridge repair as I recall), so we'll have to detour around that spot.

2. The forecast indicates a chance of thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon. The day will start good, but bringing rain gear won't hurt.

Matt, I thought thunderstorms were forcast for Sunday. Also. I know a way around the 251 detour from when we leave the caboose, everyone can follow me.

I am looking forward to meeting everyone. I sure do wish I would have taken the time back in the LV days to ride the freights all the way to Buffalo. Ya know we just did not think they could EVER do away with the LV!! Boy was that stupid thinking. See ya all Saturday.  Take err easy.  Keith

Channel 13 did have t-storms in the forecast for Saturday when I looked at their website yesterday. Thankfully, it now looks like the rain will hold off till Sunday.

P.S. Thanks for helping with the detour.

I look forward to meeting you, Keith. I've shown a couple of your brother's books to my mother and she really likes them. She was amazed that I actually know someone from the LV who ate at Mangilardo's. I told her:"That's the power of the Internet!" Saturday is gonna be fun.

The old Bradford Hotel was a good place, as well.

So many of the spots along the old LV that I knew are now gone to development or Ma Nature. Been glad to impart with what little I know, however.

You folks have a great tour.
