What year was Lehighton Tower painted the awful green color? After 1970?

Yeah, it is the PC paint for sure. I read the date somewhere in one of Mike's books. I couldn't remember the date when they repainted it from the LV gray colors.

Okay, I just looked up the date in "LV Facilities In Color, Vol. 2."
 
Mike wrote that the tower was re-painted on April 14, 1972. So this photo was taken sometime probably not too long afterward.

Great collection of MOW pictures. That old GMC boom truck looks like it was set up for bridge gang service, like most boom trucks of that type. Some found their way into regular section gang service, not an optimal setup for such.
