The Octagonal tower gave it away for me. This is Augusta NJ where there was a connection between the Pennsylvania Poughkeepsie and Boston (LNE) and the Sussex RR (Lackawanna). The only remaining sign of a RR is the LNE bridge over the river. This could be a PP&B train.

Indeed it is Augusta, NJ, good catch!
 
I'll have to check, because I can't tell from the postcard image either if its a PP&B or SRR train. Pete Brill's new book on the east end L&NE operations talks a lot about this location, its a good read.

Location of the large bridge over the Lehigh river. I have stood on the other side.

Wow, I guess only NEFAN figured this one out!
 
This is Lehigh Gap, and we're looking across the spot where the L&NE's Tamaqua Extension bridged the gap, looking east. The roadbed is now part of the Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor - http://delawareandlehigh.org/map/
