Does anyone know where the Bath yard office was? It was a single story building I *think* located on Rt 512 just north of the LNE and N&B tracks. Is it still standing?

Also, why did CR never take out the Bath wye? It's still in! Tracks north to Benders been gone since '61.

It stood right in the middle of the Wye. I don't know for sure when it was demolished, probably not long after Conrail.

I believe Conrail and later NS used the wye for turning engines...The wye was kept cleared of weeds until the new wye was constructed at the former Bethlehem engine terminal site a few years ago.

got this image from Black Diamonds to Tidewater  (  http://www.gingerb.com/index.html   ) In this photo the photographer would be standing near or at the Rte 512 crossing looking towards the East. The Line to Bethlehem would be at our left  ( look for the line poles ). the leg of the wye leading towards Bender's Junction is out of frame to our right..the red arrow points to the LNE Bath station. Although the station itself has been demolished the concrete platform still stands!! A couple years ago i was up there and in the weeds near where the Bath yard Office stood i found an old wooden screen door that i now believe was from the yard office!!should've grabbed it!!

NS still maintains the Bath wye.  2 or 3 years ago they replaced most of the ties all around the wye.  The old ties were still marked LNE.  I assume CNJ must have still marked them LNE because there is no way these ties were pre-1961.  Im including an illustration of what the tie stamp looked like in case your interested.
