I know another thread discusses this topic but I wondered if anyone could confirm my list of the current L&NE Stations in existing today. I'm trying to get pics of all the existing stations in Pa. This is what I've come up with, there may be more in NJ or NY.
1. Arlington,Pa
2. Andreas,Pa
3. Danielsville,Pa
4. Benders Junction,Pa
5.Catasauqua,Pa.
6. Nazareth,Pa.
7. Bethlehem,Pa.
8.Wind Gap,Pa
9 Pen Argyl, Pa.
10.Bangor,Pa.
11. Portland ,Pa.
12, Allentown,Pa.

Here is what I know about some of the stations:

Danielsville, PA - still exists and has been recently renovated within the last year or two.
Benders Junction, PA - still exists but on some disputed property lines, so it makes visits difficult.
Nazareth, PA - still exists.
Pen Argyl, PA - still exists but was revovated by it's current owner Slate Belt Printing.
Bangor, PA - still exists.
Portland, PA - still exists but has been modified and turned into a small auto repair garage.
Allentown, PA - still exists and I believe will become a new home of the Allentown police department.

Thanks for the station updates SteamWhistle    I'm suprised at how many LNE buildings still exist today. I'm also going to get pics of the Pen Argyl shops one last time before they tear them down.

Add the freight house in Lansford, just a stones throw away from the Lansford/Hauto tunnel. It is currently occupied by a machine shop. There are pictures posted on other sites on the web.

Hey, if you include other "structures", the concrete phone booth that was at the end of Lansford yard also still stands, hidden by 40+ years of natures growth.

Wow, I didn't know the Lansford freight house still existed.  Thanks for this information.

Is the concrete yard office still at Alpha Cement [Con Agra] in Martins Creek? It was a square one story cement office, maybe 20' X 20' sat along Rt 611 at the north end of the yard...I haven't been by there in years. Used to have a L&NE sign & an they parked the idle drill engine there in the 60's...

No, the Martins Creek yard office was torn down about two years ago after someone crashed into it. They renovated it, but it then succumbed to a fire and was subsequently torn down. I wish I had gotten pics of it when it was still there.

A new historical marker has been placed in front of the Andreas station. I wish they would clear out the trees and stabilize it a bit too.

A close-up shot of the historical marker.  IIRC Andreas Station is the only remaining LNE structure standing in Schuylkill County.

And ironically today marks the 50th anniversary of the LNE ceasing operations.

Anyone know if the Sussex NJ station is still standing? Here is a picture from 1978.

Station is no longer there. Taken down many years ago along with the fountain that was nearby. It is all parking lot now for Hyundai dealership.

Here's link to some pics I took years ago of the Sussex area:

Thanks. Too bad they couldn't relocate it somewhere in town. Sussex lost the NYS&W station. It would have been good to save a piece of their RR history.

Yeah it's a shame. But it seems like that once the NYS&W and then the L&NE closed shop there, the town & surrounding area did not care about preserving anything. It was almost like they wanted to erase the RR from their heritage, IMO anyway.
