Guys, while tooling around eBay this morning, look what I found -

Custom HO Lehigh And Hudson River Railway SD-40-2 Item number: 120218107246

Gasp! No more ALCO power? Looks nicely done, if I had $75 dollars to just drop, I'd buy it.

FFW-1, rolling west on OA-3 with my SD-40-2.........?

That's heresy! The L&HR without Alcos is like a hamburger bun with no meat- it just ain't right!  :D

Somehow the L&HR survived Conrails grasp.  In the late 1970s some of the Alcos are sent to GE for trade in trucks for new B23-7s

Its now the mid 1980s and the last of the Alcos are retired. 5 B23s and 7 B39s will make up the roster.
