Jim Boyd's book has a complete diesel roster (RS3s and C420s) including dispositions.

Some days, the most interesting person you meet is a river with a train running beside it.

There is a mistake on that though. It shows # 1 sold in 12/71, which is incorrect as I have a train order with #1 & 25 on a maybrook turn in Feb. 72. Just a little FYI

Also, for Charlie O I remember very clearly seeing Reading units on the L&H as a kid, but I don't know the circumstances for there presence.  PC & CNJ units- understood.
 Reading?

John

In 1975, prior to ConRail the LHR was owned by the CNJ, PC, LV, RDG and the EL, it's likely that all the aforementioned had trackage rights, as LHR diesel power consisted of only 6 C420s.

I have never heard of the L&HR referred to as just "Hudson" before..
is that a real thing? any historical precedence there?
curiously,
Scot

The only place that the L&HR was ever referred to as the 'Hudson' is on five threads in this forum. Apparently, the OP for all five thought it to be appropriate. No basis in history, or any current usage...

CNJ's Allentown Yard, Bethlehem engine terminal in the background. At the time, this was the interchange point between the L&HR and the CNJ and other western connections. Train is eastbound, heading for home rails and the Maybrook interchange with the New Haven.

Date is no earlier than 1957-58 ('Radio Equipped' herald and lettering on the cab sides). The third unit looks to be #3; if so, it is still in its original paint, so it was before 1960 (the L&HR's centennial, where the #3 and #10 were repainted into a simpler scheme). Can't help on the photographer...

Here's one of my photos in Burlington, VT, formerly #12.  No doubt, a parts unit by this time.

A later photo by another photographer has it on the G&J in Greenwich, NY.
