I know this belongs on the EL forum, but I use to illustrate a question.
Looking at my Mueller's Orange Co atlas I see there was a turntable
somewhere to the left of the Erie main and to the right of the L&HR
spur. It seems that it was a Leigh table. Now I realize that the
county atlases are often less than accurate but I wonder if
anybody has further info.
I would scan it in for you but I dont have a digi cam. Ill try to
find somebody who can help me on that.

Looking forward to your replies....

A really nice tour to go on. Approximately 1 1/2 hours.

There were three reasons why the plant closed. The strike and cheaper to manufacture in Canada. The last reason, unknown to any sources I found in books was the tax rate that was assessed on them by the town during the mid-80s. A source tells me that the town of Ogdensburg assessed them at $8 Million.

There is still 8-10 years still of zinc still left in the quarry according to the guide I spoke to.
