*  Here is a not to good photo of a pair of HObbyline FA1's. #2100 is powered and #2200 is a dummy. That is how they were offered.  
* Now the dies for these FA1's went to Lionel and became their FA1 sold starting in 1958 and on.
* FA1's were made in die cast metal by John English earlier and continued to be made by them till that 1957 date that the company assets were sold off. HObbyline and John English were the same company. One there plastic line of trains. The other their die cast line. A FB1 was also made in die cast metal.
* Another company making metal FA1's A&B's was Lindsay. Their bodies were made to accept a drive frame, where on English ones trucks attached directly to the body. Lindsay also made FA2's in A&B models.  
* Hobbytown acquired the Lindsay castings and used them right up to now.
