This is the Marx special all purpose beer delivery car. With it I can safely without shaking deliver a cold one to anywhere around the layout.

Still have a couple left to post. I found my Valley Express caboose made for the Green Giant brand of Veggie's. The only way you got this set was through the mail.

Well this completes my Marx Cars I have right now. I hope to get a Santa-Fe yellow bay window, and yellow 3 window cabooses. Another is the brown SP gondola. A NYC work caboose. The UP cabooses. And the 3 window green WP caboose. The rocket launch car has always been on my wish List. From battery powered train set are 2 box cars I don't have.  I am certain there are others. Someday I'll find a few more. The fun is in the finding.

I like what you have posted here. Was it possible to purchase individual Marx cars years ago or did they only come in sets?

A special car no doubt- though the "Celebrated Pottsville Porter" is brewed in a Reading served town. One of my favorite beers

* Well NEFAN; I am glad somebody likes the old very common HO cars from 1930's to 1960's. The Marx cars were sold separately boxed as well as in sets. Marx made set for many of the old department stores. Many times doing something special within the set for a client.
Now the beer delivery car works very well. The log car's curved load carrying skeleton supports the bottles and cans very well. We even can deliver soda and other soft drinks.
Nice talking to you.

I actually got 2 Marx passenger cars yesterday at a flea market with the F3a that came with the set. The thread being just for train cars means I can only post the passenger cars here.
* The two cars are a coach, Santa-Fe #71875, and a Santa-Fe observation car #80971. They have metal bodies that are rusting. Not exactly the perfect cars for my collection. Though it is better to have these then none at all.

Here is a photo of the set. Easiest way to post in one photo.
